"I'm sick and I'm twisted/
I'm broken you can't fix it/
Don't make me, cause I'll do it/
Red button and we'll all go/
Into the river below/
I'm running from the inferno..." -Billy Talent (River Below)
Annoyed...
1. Apparantly one of the new chicks they hired either dosen't HAVE a work Visa, or just had no PROOF that she has a work Visa. You would think that would be something you would check out BEFORE you hire someone, no?
2. New boss hired three new people. I really hope he's planning on firing someone because this now takes the total number of people on my schedule to nearly twenty. I remember when we were running decently with TEN.
3. Stupid people. That one goes for pretty much every day. Just need to remind myself sometimes.
4. Ice. Especially when it's hidden by snow. Yeah, I bit it today. Owwwww....
5. People who mess with the html of their site so badly that it's pretty much unrecognizable at a MyOtaku page. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
6. People who give no input and no suggestions and then complain when they don't like the way things turn out. If you don't bother to tell me what your suggestion is, I'm going to tell you where to go and how to get there when you tell me after the fact, what I SHOULD have done.
*sigh* I apologize for not visiting sites lately. I've been lazy. And kind of in hiding. That's also the reason I haven't been around on the messengers. If I don't want to talk to someone, I just don't sign in. It's nicer than setting my status to 'away' when I'm not really away. But I admit I have done that before. Ehhhh... Since I lack anything else to say (anything intelligent anyways) I'll let you get on with your lives. Enjoy..

No song... I bled out all my brain cells...
Alright, that has got to have been the suckiest day of work EVER. I got up in the morning and was getting ready to go and at just about 9:00 my nose started bleeding. Right. Just super. I wasn't terribly worried until 9:15 rolled around, so I had my mom call work and tell them I was going to be late. It was bleeding pretty heavily and I was swallowing a lot of blood (not to mention gagging on it.. Eeewww...). I think I might be turning into a vampire... So that bit of major fun lasted until about 11:00am. An hour and a half.. I was on the verge of having someone take me to emergency. But it finally let up and I went to work..
I might as well have just not showed up at all. Not fifteen minutes into my new, modified shift, it started up again.. Not heavily, but enough to be gross. Then it stopped and I was good for a couple of hours. Then it started again. So I was up in the bathroom for another 20 minutes or so. I think a blood vessel came out. Eeewww... And then it was okay again. Until about 3:00... Yeah.. It got busy and I had to have someone take over for me while I went and bled some more.. It was pretty much time for me to go home then. So I did. After my supervisor snapped at me for staying a little extra to cover for HER sorry ass. She made a crappy schedule, so there was no coverage. I stayed to fill the gap and she freaked. Whatever...
So I went home. Sat down with my dad for a little while. Swallowed some more blood.. much gagging ensued.. (but at least it wasn't coming out of my nose this time) I really hope it's done for a while. I kinda feel like I deserve juice and a cookie after all that. Heheh.. Or some Jell-O. Aaaannnd now that you're all good and grossed out, I'm out of here.. Goodnight everybody..

"It's just a matter of time/
Before we get to shine/
It's not a question of when/
Or who does the crime..." -Junkhouse (Shine)
Okay, so I almost DIED three times today. I had to drive my sister across town to her dance class (which ended up being cancelled because of bad weather, so it was a pointless trip anyways). It snowed a bunch today and it was just cold enough so that any snow that landed on the road melted and then instantly froze. So it was a real nice skating rink the whole way there. People sliding through intersections and around corners.. It was not pretty. So I was annoyed that I risked my life to go all the way over there for nothing.
Anywho.. I have to go back to stupid work tomorrow. *sigh* It's been a grand week off. I really didn't do anything important, but it was really just nice to not have to go to THAT place..
I heard good news on the radio this morning. The one.. The only... Matthew Good is coming to town!! Yessssssss... Tickets go on sale Friday. I must get me some of those. Unfortunately I'll be at work for most of the afternoon, so hopefully they don't sell out. I wouldn't normally be worried about a one day sellout but they're holding the performance at a smaller venue. I don't know what the capacity of this place is so I've got my fingers crossed...
Happy Weekend everyone.

"One thing I know about the rest of my life/
I know that I’ll be living it in Canada/
I know I said I’ll share the rest of my days/
But I was only going through a phase..." -Sloan (The Rest Of My Life)
Cats are hilarious. My dad had people over for breakfast early on Wednesday morning. My kitties are not big fans of people, so they both came down to my room trying to get into my closet. I guess that's their "safe place".. heheh.. I hate it when they get in there because I end up having to wash stuff that isn't dirty, just has cat hair on it. So I threw pillows at them. So they decided instead that it would be a good idea to hide in my bed. Under the blankets. It's annoying to have two scaredy cats take over your bed.. I then have to sleep around them..
Didn't accomplish anything major today. In between a bunch of driving and some reading around I managed to produce and submit two wallpapers. yaaayy... I'm pretty certain they're t-o-t-a-l c-r-a-p. But meh.. Until I can find a photo program that has decent effects AND runs on this archaic machine, that's all she wrote. *random peasants rejoice*
Aaaanyways.. has anyone ever tried Googling themselves? If you get nothing with your real name try some of your screen names. You'd be surprised at some of the stuff that comes up. For me it was my fanart and articles. That's also how I learned that a few other anime/blogging related sites had linked to my articles. I was so proud. It's cool to think that other people, not just the members here, have read my work and thought that it was worth linking to. *snif* Anyways, I've been thinking about a subject for a new article. It's kind of an abstract concept right now and complicated too, but I'm sure it'll eventually get written...
Good night everybody. Almost the weekend again..

"It's rough justice on ya/
You're gonna have to trust me/
It's rough justice/
But you know I'll never break your heart..." -The Rolling Stones (Rough Justice)
Well.. the Union Meeting was alright. Certainly more productive than some where we all just get in a big argument and I have to put my head down. Heh.. But then if I go and think about it too much, I get the feeling that any discussion is really just pointless.. Aaaaand now I don't care anymore.. I'm too busy trying to maintain my sanity and sense of humor. Did I mention I love gum? I love gum...
So I bought books this afternoon. Just because I can. And also a new journal/notebook (current one is almost full). Its black and it has glitter on it. What? I'm allowed to be girly SOME of the time. Plus I couldn't resist the shiny-ness.
Today, am annoyed by the ridiculous amount of "cannot find server" messages I'm getting. Nearly every time I try to access a page, I get one of those. I'm on the verge of calling the SHAW Cable people.. Garbage..

"Martyrs don't do much for me/
Though I enjoy them vicariously/
After you. No! After me/
No, I insist! Please, after me/
Do I want to? With all that charm?/
Do I want to? Twist my arm..." -The Tragically Hip (Twist My Arm)
I had forgotten how much I love gum. Trident has a new Tropical flavour out. I've been through an entire pack of 16 in three days. Blowing bubbles is fun.
Today, am annoyed by:
1. Stupid pop-ups on people's sites either warning me to beware because it's a "wolf's den", or threatening me with death or bodily harm if I don't sign their guestbook.
2. Guestbook signatures that demand that I visit someone's site, sign their guestbook and then tell all my friends to do the same. Guess what that gets ya?! That's right, NOTHING! I'm not here to increase people's traffic. If I visit your site, it's because I like you. You wouldn't be on my list if I didn't.
3. Televangelism. 'Nuff said.
4. Ten minute memories and ten second attention spans. If I tell someone something, it's always nice if they are at least remotely paying attention so that I don’t have to say the same thing again in ten minutes, and then again ten minutes after that, especially if it's somewhat important.
5. Emails with more than one RE: or FWD: in the subject. It's a pain to have to scroll through something like FWD: Re: Re: Re: FWD: FWD: Re: FWD: Re: FWD: Re: FWD: FWD: FWD: FWD: Re:.... just to get to the subject which sadly usually ends up being a sappy friendship poem, or the standard "Warning: Don't give your credit card number out" crap. Durh.
So there's my snarky rant for the day. Only remotely snarky though, eh? Union Meeting on Tuesday morning.. Should be fun.. (note the sarcasm) Happy Tuesday..

"You're not coming back for me/
These things they will never be/
I'm so used to being wrong/
So put me where I belong..." -Neverending White Lights (The Grace)
Went out to a party On Friday night.. It wasn't as much fun as others that I've been to. Some of the time people just end up playing a board game. I am very very bad at board games, so I usually choose not to play. So while everyone was playing Pictionary I just kicked back with a drink and listened to the music. I had made a new CD for the occasion and I was rather enjoying it. Until I started sneezing, that is. Yeah, I managed to catch the sick again. So yeah.. all in all, the whole thing was kind of a bust. Plus I came away wth a few impressive bruises. The ones on my shoulders are from a guy who didn't believe me when I said that it hurt when people squeezed them. Not even when I collapsed rather dramatically to the floor under his grip. Mock agony, yes, but still painful... Owwww....
Much sleeping was had on Saturday to attempt to get rid of the sick. It'll be more of the same on Sunday, I think... Enjoy the rest of the weekend kids.. *wink and the gun*

"It's not where you come from/
It's more where you're going/
And knowing the going might get strange/
The world's greatest writers/
Are all drunks and fighters/
Get going, that isn't going to change..." -The Mighty Mighty BossTones (Where You Come From)
Well? What do we think? Spiffy new background a-la-Con. The lyric at the top is from a Collective Soul Song (where else..) and the picture is of Waterton Lake. Probably one of the prettiest places in Alberta. You might also notice my snazzy bucket stamp up there.. (Idea stolen from Mamma Vash!) Those are all covers of albums that I either own or love, the majority of which are Canadian. So now when I talk about some random artist, you just might be able to look up there and see the cover of one of their albums. Heh.. I was worried that the thing would kill my load time but things seem to be moving rather quickly lately (thanks Adam!) so there you have it..
In other news, some guy called today from the University, doing a survey. Since I'm the student in the house, I got suckered. One of the questions was "How would you rate your mental health?" Ummm.... "No TV and no beer make Con something something..." Heheheh.. I'm perfectly sane, thanks. How about you? *facepalm* I had a good laugh about that one. I just get a kick out of the survey people that want to ask you questions that you have no idea how to answer. Like one about the city's website, which I have NEVER used. Every question relates to the website. If I tell you after the first question that I have never used the site, is it REALLY necessary to keep asking questions? No. She got the hangup technique. I'm not being rude on purpose, but honestly...
Have a good weekend everyone! Don't answer the phone, it might be some guy doing a survey about gambling....

"This life is good, the road is clear/
It's time to shift into high gear/
Everything we're passing fades/
It's whats inside our hearts that stays/
And you know, everyone here has been invited to go..." -MXPX (It's Alright)
I just got back from picking up my sister and her friend and it seemed like it was blizzarding (is that a word? if not, it is now..) out. The snow on the road was being all stupid and swirling around and stuff, and it made me subconsciously want to ram my mother's mini van into the median. Didn't do that though. Made it home alive. Yaaaay..
So, I'm thinking I need to re-evaluate my policy on MSN adds.. after a bunch of Turkish kids got ahold of my handle, I couldn't go three days without one of them adding me, so I decided to not add anyone unless I knew for sure who it was. It was working well until tonight when a good friend let me know that one of our other friends was trying to add me but couldn't. As far as I can figure I thought he was just another one of them Turkish kids and declined the add.. I thought it was odd that I had to unblock him when I actually DID add him.. So provided the plague of Turkish kids is over, I'll just go back to the old way.. *thumbs up*
Enjoy your day, kids.. I'm just gonna kick back, I think. *wink and the gun*

"Someone save me if you will/
And take away all these pills/
And please just save me, if you can/
From the blasphemy in my wasteland..." -Shinedown (Save Me)
Hope everyone had a lovely V-day. Or as I like to call it, Venom day (I think I picked that up from miss Aya last year..). I called it venom day in front of some customers today. I'm glad they had a sense of humor. I had to work so it was pretty uneventful for me. People were like "Soooo, any big plans for Valentines day?" I WANTED to say something like, "none of your damn business, really." But I'm a little more polite than that. But if you must know.. I had to buy my own flowers. XD I couldn't resist, they were so pretty.. Orange roses are my favourites.
Anyways.. I would like to thank Frogger91 and Inkenyo2.0 for the cute cards!
Click to see 'em bigger. Thanks guys! Made the day 50% better.
I really hate to say it, but sometime during the evening I have developed a bit of a sore throat. I really REALLY hope I'm not getting sick again. If you can recall the last time I was sick (x-mas) I did not much but complain. I'll take a bunch of vitamin C, I guess.. At least I'm on "holidays" right now. So I dont have to go to work sick. I'm not actually going anywhere for these alleged "holidays" but the work people don't know that, so shhhh.... Goodnight everybody!
