The Fine Art of Falling Apart
A couple of crap days here, which is the reason for lack of postage, but I'd rather not dwell on that since I'm trying to be happy. Errr.... happier.

I'm glad that I've been able to pick up more hours at work lately. A few people have needed to give away hours and business has picked up somewhat so I've been asked to stay late a few times. Anything to add hours to my schedule. I just need to stop buying clothes now. *facepalm* Working in retail clothing sucks that way. (holy crap, I'm having deja vu..) Anyways, there just ends up being cute looking things in the stock each week. Erm.. except for today. I ended up unpacking a few boxes and everything that came in except for one black dress was pretty much hideous. I wish I had had my camera so that I could show just exactly how unbelievably ugly some of this stuff was. Like a peasant-type blouse that I think is supposed to be worn off the shoulder. It's made of this crinkle sort of fabric and has a gross kind of checkered rainbow pattern to it. Just.... Ew. I can't even find a picture ugly enough to express it. My manager said that they had already had them in earlier in the year and they just sold like crazy, so maybe (hopefully) they look better on a person.

Stabbed my finger with one of the box opening knives. It bled. Which is surprising since those things are super dull. I'm just special, I guess. So now I'm sporting a glow in the dark Spongebob bandaid.

Anyways.. blah blah blah. Twenty days until Hospital Music. And now that I've decided to register for that imeem thing, I'm noticing that some twit has ripped the entire album from matthewgood.org and uploaded it there. I suppose it was bound to happen. I suppose I'll change my current tune to one of my faves from the new album. It's only 55 seconds long, but it's pretty killer. Watch out for the f-bomb.. XD

Girl Wedged Under the Front of a Firebird
1. Went to work this morning and got french kissed by a Jack Russell terrier puppy. There's a pet store next door and the lady that volunteers to walk the dogs brings us puppies every Saturday. Sooooo cute. He just wanted cuddles, but he stuck his tongue in my mouth. Blech..

2. I have a working TV again. I adopted the one that my dad just replaced with his new big screen. My old TV got wrecked when the cat tried to use it as a launch pad to get up into the window. He knocked it off the shelf. And it was a futile effort altogether because he didn't even get up into the window anyways.

3. I was moving that crap TV to get at the cables plugged into it and ended up smashing my fingers underneath it. Damn thing is heavy. Fingers are now bruised.

4. I think I might have heartburn. Or heartache. I'm not sure which.

   Advertising On Police Cars
So, yep, it was about 40 degrees again today, so I wore a dress to work. I'm girly. On my way home I nearly got in a car accident. I had an advance light to turn left. A chick in the oncoming lane decided to turn right and then immediately change lanes, pretty much right into me. If I hadn't hit the brakes, I'd be a little smashed up. And where's the damn horn when you need it? I can never find it when I want to honk it. *shakes head* Then on the way home from the grocery store there had been an accident just down the street from my house. Looked to me like someone had made an unsafe left turn. Well... tried to. No injuries though, I don't think, so that's good.

My dad finally picked out his new TV. He's been wanting a big-screen for years now, So he got a 48 inch (I think) flatscreen. Very nice. We tested it out this evening by watching Little Miss Sunshine. Excellent film for being so low budget. I think it only cost about 8 million to make, but it's a new favourite of mine.

Other than that, no exciting news. I was going to mention to anyone who has access to my LJ that there is a picture of me in the dress on there. It's a little ways back, and accompanied by a not very nice post, but it's there. Happy weekend everyone.

Can't Get Shot In the Back If You Don't Run
Sometimes early in the morning, something will wake me up and I'll lie awake for a few minutes before drifting off again. After I fall back asleep I tend to have the wildest dreams and I'll say to myself when I wake up again that I shouldn't forget what I dreamed about because it's just too wild. But I forget anyways. I suppose I should start writing things down.. But I like sleeping better...

It got up to about 40 degrees today which is about 104 fahrenheit. Too damn hot So I decided to wear a skirt at work. I've become so unbelievably girly since starting this job, it's not even funny. I bought this skirt wihtout thinking about having shoes that go with it, so I had to go to the mall before work and buy shoes... >_< But Payless is a wonderful place, So I bought a pair of those ballet flats and these, which are undescribable, but very comfy.

It's supposed to be ridiculously hot again on Friday, so I might do the same thing. Is it ridiculously hot in the U.S. lately? Bleh.. I don't like it. I just want to hide in my basement with the lights off. Who's with me?

   While We Were Hunting Rabbits
I picked up some hours at work today when my boss called and said she thought it was going to be busy. So I said I'd come in even though it meant I'd only have one day off this week. I can really use the $$ so I'll take any shifts I can get. She was right. It was busy enough for each of the 4 staff members on to make our sales targets. For a 4 hour shift it's usually about $1000. Anyways, there's this woman that came in the other day and she just drives me absolutely batty. Like, she'll unfold every shirt in the pile after I've JUST made them pretty, stuff like that. I thought that she was awfully fmiliar, but I couldn't figure out how I knew her... until today... I'm pretty sure she was the assistant in my (and my sister's) kindergarten class. The assistant who told me during coloring time that moons couldn't be blue. I guess she'd never heard the song... *sings* Blue moon... you saw me standing alone... without a dream in my heart... without a love of my own... And one day during gym time she tucked my sister's pants into her socks. Just because. To this day we can't figure out why... So yeah, she's still a bit of a kook nearly 20 years later. God, I'm old...

So after following a link from SayanaChan's page, I found this ridiculously cute game with a ridiculously cute bunny rabbit.

I know the html is screwy, but I'm too stupid to figure out what's wrong with it. Just click the red bits and be prepared for ridiculous amounts of cuteness. Sleep time for me.

Life Beyond the Minimum Safe Distance.
Just a quick little post before I go to bed... I'm actually looking forward to going to work in the morning. It's my turn to unpack new stock so I pretty much just get to hide out in the back with the radio on and look at all the pretty, new clothes. I find myself more willing to try new things when it comes to clothing now. I've never been particularly fashion oriented, but that's probably just because I have no clue what I'm doing. But in any case, I now own a dress...

I've been watching Animaniacs all evening. I bought season three the other day and I'm loving it. Now that I'm older I actually GET more of the jokes. See? Cartoons are not just for kiddies!

Anyways.. I was also going to mention to anyone who has given into my prodding to check out Matt Good.. He's a Canadian, somewhat indie artist who has recently made a return to an acoustic style for his latest album. Some of his newer material might not appeal to anyone who isn't a hardcore fan already. I'd recommend songs like Carmelina (which is on the youtube player there), Anti-Pop or Load Me Up, or things done under the name of The Matthew Good Band. In my opinion, he dosen't get nearly enough radio play or credit for being the amazing lyricist that he is. But that's just because I'm one of those crazed, hardcore fans. = P

   Flight Recorder From Viking 7.
Hey hey everyone. I've decided that I'm going to try to start posting regularly again. It used to be such a regular part of my day, but some things happened over the last few months and I kind of lost interest in doing a lot of the things I normally used to do. But I'm feeling a little more like my old self and I think that regular posting might help a bit. So it'll probably just be a little note about the funniest part of my day, or a random thought that enters my mind, but that's something anyways. Besides, I miss everyone here.

I am employed again. I'm working in a clothing store for the summer. It's actually quite a lot of fun and I kinda feel like I'm being paid to hang around and chat to people. The ladies I work with are quite a riot too, so that helps a lot. No more BS to put up with like at my last job.. Plus I'm really enjoying the staff discount. I'm going to have to work there forever because it'll be too hard to go back to paying regular price for clothes. XD The only not so good part is that I'm not getting as many hours as I had hoped. So I may have to take a second job. We'll see..

My favourite, Matthew Good has a new album coming out at the end of July. It's called Hospital Music. You can stream the album in full from the website www.matthewgood.org if you like. I've been following the production progress there and it's been quite the event. But anyways, in honor of the new album, post titles will be Matt Good song titles. I've been messing with the guitar, trying to learn some of his stuff.

Erm... it's not really working.. but it's a funny picture, so it's now my facebook display picture. = P

   Random Chat-Bottery...
Yep.. I'm still alive. This was just too funny not to share...

SuperCon!: (to james 45) Hey, how's it going?
james 45: have you ever went to prison
SuperCon!: I was thinking about it, but then I wussed out. :(
james 45: well then leave me the fuck alone
SuperCon!: I have to go now.

In other news, one final exam and one major paper to go and I've pretty much got myself a new job for the summer in a clothing store that I sometimes, kind of like. Hurray, income!
