   Curses! They got me again!!
Well, diner out last night was great! I ate so much yummy food. And I did invite friends over for a movie, so I wanted to be home by 9:00 to let them in. We had to stop at my store for pop and light bulbs. So I chatted with the girls up front for a little while while my parents went down the aisle for that stuff. It took them a freakin' long time and I started to worry because it was already past nine. We finally made it out of there and eventually collected my sister who had gone down to the bank machine.

When we pulled into the garage nobody was there yet so I went inside and passed off the bag of light bulbs to my sister and asked her to take them upstaris, at which point I started to sing "Danke Schoen" very loudly and badly. And proceeded to go downstairs to finish my last minute cleaning. My mother called me upstairs for some odd reason, (and I was dumb enough to go) and twenty people popped out of nowhere! Gah!! Scared the crap out of me! They had decorated my house with this whole Hawaiien theme, pineapples everywhere and leis and potted palms. I must say, it was frickin' awesome! I spiked the punch (very heavily), hugged a lot of people (including my sister's odd boyfriend...), kissed a few... and proceeded to drink myself stupid and make a general ass of myself, which I had already done anyways. I walked in singing, remember! Haha!

So I'm partied out for now, but I have energy left for a few more hugs! One for each of you guys, and a real big one for Miss Usagi Sohma! *big virtual hugs* Thank you for my purdy present!

And thank you Raven! *Real big hug!*

And to the lovely Miss Oreana Minamino!

I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family and such great friends, both in everyday life and here on theO!

YEah! "Party on Garth!" I am looking forward to having dinner tonight with my family. We are going to my favourite restaurant, O-Sho's (yes it's Japanese! XD)for maki and yummy chicken katsu! Then I'll probably have friends over for a movie and copious amounts of beer or something. I'm thinking pretty hard about Napoleon Dynamite. Note that I will not be wearing a pink sweater... Not unless I have too much beer!

Anywho, off I go to finish cleaning up. It's sad that I need an incentive like having people over to give me the motivation to clean. I should just plan to have people over once a week and then maybe some crap would get done around here, but people keep lending me anime and it's hard to resist and i have no willpower when it comes to that! *gasp* I'm halfway through Chobits (so cute!) and Hellsing is next and then quite possibly a whole crapload of Inuyasha. AAaahhh!! Somebody please kick my ass!

Gah! I love that song! Anywho, onto today's oddity...My mother bought me an early b-day gift. That's not what's odd. Now here's the test...

What was wrong with said gift?
a) it's pink
b) it's a cardigan sweater
c) it has sparkly little pink butterflies embroidered on it
d) all of the above

And the right anwer is.. D! Yeah, I don't really do pink. I love my mom and I appreciate the thought, but..pink... I'm so confused! I think she wants me to be more 'girly' but that's just not me. I'll stick with my classic blue jeans thanks. And yeah, it's my b-day soon.. I'm not very excited, but maybe I should throw a party or something anyways. What d'ya guys think? Happy Friday to all!!

Up on the Roof (The Drifters)

When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space
On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there the world below can't bother me
Let me tell you now

When I come home feelin' tired and beat
I go up where the air is fresh and sweet
I get away from the hustling crowd
And all that rat-race noise down in the street
On the roof, the only place I know
Where you just have to wish to make it so
Let's go up on the roof
At night the stars put on a show for free
And, darling, you can share it all with me

I keep a-tellin' you

Right smack dab in the middle of town
I've found a paradise that's trouble proof
And if this world starts getting you down
There's room enough for two
Up on the roof...

   And that's kickin' your ass!
Oh yeah, I'm so relieved! Remember that paper I was freaking out about? I got it back today, and the good news is I didn't fail! Yesss!! Hell, a B+ is good enough for me! This prof lets you rewrite a paper as many times as you want until you're satisfied, but he left me no comments on anything so I wouldn't know what to fix anyways, so.. meh!

And now, for the bad news... Dun dun dunnnn.... Today is the one year anniversary of me smashing up my beautiful truck! I'm not going anyplace else today. I don't want to jinx the dirt! Cost a hell of a lot to have it fixed and it was one damn expensive paint job! (paid for the paint myself) Two grand or so. That's like the equivalent of tuition for three or four University courses! Damn!

I guess I can laugh about it all now. Nobody was hurt so it's okay. The cop that filled out the report took a look at my licence and said, "Well, happy birthday..." He was joking but I cried anyways! Heheh! So I'm just going to hide out for the rest of the day. See y'all later tonight!

Earache, my eye! How'd you like a buttache?!
The computer is going wonky on me and I can't seem to comment on anyone's posts today. I don't know if it's just a busy time of day or what! Every page takes forever and a day to load, even when there are no images, so I dunno what's up. Anyways, it was a pretty uneventful day, so... here's a song!

Fish Heads (Barnes And Barnes)

Fish heads fish heads
Roly poly fish heads
Fish heads fish heads
Eat them up
Yum

In the morning laughing happy fish heads
In the evening floating in the soup

Ask a fish head anything you want to
They won't answer they can't talk

I took a fish head out to see a movie
Didn't have to pay to get it in

They can't play baseball they don't wear sweaters
They're not good dancers they don't play drums

Roly poly fish heads are never seen
Drinking cappuccino in Italian restaurants
with Oriental women

Yeah.

   Watch out for the gophers!!
Well, I am very relieved to be here with all of you fine people today. I picked my sister up from work a little while ago, and she decided that she wanted to practice her driving. Ooookay... So we went over to the semi deserted University parking lot and she did her thing for a half an hour or so. Doing pretty well. Normally, people have trouble making left hand turns, but she has trouble with right turns! Gah! But anyways, she's getting better! Then I said "take me home." So she did. Scariest moment of my life! We made it home alive though and without pissing off too many other drivers! Heheh!

Con's Driving Rules:
1. No radio. Britney and the BSB are annoying enough when you're stationary, let alone in a moving vehicle.
2. If I say, "For the love of God, brake!" then for the love of God, brake!
3. No running people over.
4. Rule #3 applies to gophers also, until the month of May when the city is overrun and some form of pest control must be initiated.

If you're ever in Southern Alberta, stay off the sidewalks, we might be out practicing!! Yeah... that and new art is up today. Wohoo!

   Holy crap!
I started thinking about stuff today, and for some odd reason I actually feel like talking seriously about my life for once! *flashback!* In Jr. High and all through most of high school, I was not a happy camper! I rarely talked and pretty much never smiled, crappy self esteem in general, so needless to say, I was not the most popular kid ever. Neither was I disliked though. I'd call it ummmm.. invisible!

But in my grade 12 year, I made a few friends that changed my perspective of the world and I will admit that one of these guys probably saved my life! He is one person that can always make me smile, no matter how bad a funk I'm in and on top of that, he was the first guy to ever tell me I was pretty. He didn't (and still dosen't) give a damn about what anyone thinks of him and he showed me that I shouldn't either. I'm finally starting not to care about other people's ideas of me! And believe me, am so much happier for it. I mean, yeah, I constantly make an idiot of myself, but I like to laugh so much that I'll even do it at my own expense! I must say, that even though there are a few things I'd like to change about myself, I'm pretty happy with life.

So there's tonights lesson kids! Be who you wanna be and if people don't like it, screw 'em! At the risk of getting too sappy, I sincerely appreciate all of you for being who you are, don't change for anybody! *drowns in sap* I promise a post with more humor tomorow! Gah!!

During my break between classes today I went up the the pool observation gallery to do some reading. It's nice and toasty warm in there! After a little while I was noticing all these grade eights (or maybe 7's), all wearing matching t-shirts, coming out onto the pool deck carrying large cardboard boats. Their shirts said something like 'ductape mus est', or 'I duct tape, therefore I am'. Haha! Handyman's secret weapon! They had obviously made them themselves. I was intrigued and watched for a while. They made a huge production out of it and raced them two at a time across the pool! It was frickin' hysterical! Of course half of them capsized right away, but some actually made it across the width of the pool (about 25 metres) in decent time! I had to go to class before it was all over so I don't know who won or what the whole point of it was, but it was fun to watch anyways!

Duct Tape Forever! Right Red?

I confess! I've been doing something wierd for the last month or so. (You guys are like, 'and this is something new? You're always doing something wierd Con!') Well I only got found out today, so there! Anyways, as I was standing talking to a friend, he looks right in my eyes and stops mid sentence and goes "your eyes are two different colors!" *blush* Yeah, I've been wearing two different colored contact lenses for the last month! One blue and the other green. One lens from each pair went screwy on me, so I went "meh!" and popped each of the good ones. But he said it looked cool though so I don't really care! I'm kind of a fan of seeing stuff even if it means doing something kind of geeky! Wait a minute, I do that everyday anyways! Silly me!!
