"Half awake in the morning/
I want you now/
This feeling grips me without warning/
I want you now..." -Big Sugar (I Want You Now)
Well... it was not a very good first week of classes. I think I might need to drop one of my classes. I've been to all of them except for history of R'n'R. And in those four, I will be required to write three papers for each, the longest ones being 4000 words. Remember the time I had trying to put together 3000 for Apocalypse class? Yeah... I don't have much hope for myself. I think the one I'd lose is Business Ethics. I think that might be a wise choice. Better to focus more on four than focus half-assedly on five, no? Plus my favourite philosophy prof normally teaches Business Ethics. He's just away for the year.. I'll go to class on Tuesday and see what I think then. I have until the end of the day to drop out without having to pay any money...
So, I don't remember now if I mentionned that one of my coworkers is now a fan of the Macintosh computers.. She brought in an old PC monitor that she didn't need anymore and it was all covered in these white mac logo stickers. I gave her a hard time about liking Macs and said that they make good boat anchors and whatnot.. When I arrived at work the next day, my locker was plastered with the stupid things. Pretty funny actually. This is the result. So give me a good laugh. Either that or the sexy growl. Meh.. One of the two.. Heheh..
There we have it. Happy Monday kiddies. Keep on rockin' in the free world.

Remember the time...
You guys remember the time I got covered in rancid orange juice? Well... yesterday a whole case of rotten peaches fell on my foot. Nice and moldy and squishy. That's probably the second grossest thing that's happened to me. *nods* Hopefully this bit of knowledge brightens someone's day..

"And yeah the human tragedy/
Consists in the necessity/
Of living with the consequences/
Under pressure, under pressure/
Courage, my word, it didn't come, it doesn't matter/
Courage, it couldn't come at a worse time..." -The Tragically Hip (Courage)
I'm tired. This semester is going to suck.
I've got all my course outlines and for four out of the five I'm going to have to write at least three papers. The longest ones being 3500 words.. I'd drop some f-bombs right now but I'm too tired. And polite.
I'm upset that someone I was chatting to said that Jim Morrison was a "waste of human flesh". I quote that. Little things like that annoy me these days. But I don't have the patience to argue.
I hate a lot of things and several people right now. It's just not good. And now that I've succeeded in killing the party, goodnight everyone.. have a good weekend.

"Listen up everybody if you wanna take a chance/
Just get on the floor and do the New Kids dance/
Dont worry 'bout nothing 'cause it wont take long/
We're gonna put you in a trance with a funky song..." -New Kids On The Block (Hangin' Tough)
I'm baaa--aaackk.. Heheh.. Nice to BE back.. Love my family and all, but I can only handle so much. XD The wedding was lovely and I've already typed up a really really, ridiculously long entry about it on LJ. So I won't bore the rest of you with the details. I save that privilege for the ones I love best. Hahahaha!
Had my hair cut. While I was sitting there, what do I hear on the radio but New Kids On The Block.. I cracked up and couldn't explain to the Turkish hairstylist what was so funny. Totally had to quote that song tonight.
The highlight of the weekend, besides the wedding part of course, was probably the other night when I was trying to fit the rest of a birthday cake into a tupperware container, and then trying to fit the rest of the wedding cake in WITH it. My mother thought the wedding cake should stay upright, I thought it should go sideways. My spatula hit the icing and pulled off the 'H' from 'happy birthday'. Mom says, "Con get the 'H' out of here!" I think she means for me to get lost, so I throw down my spatula and say "well f*** you!" and stomp off. She explains, we have a good laugh at my expense...
I'm super tired. And I have to go to class tomorrow.. *sob* first day back. I wonder which class I'm going to drop out of first.. We'll see, I guess.
Hope everyone's doing okay. Hugs for Zappa. I'm sorry I missed the craziness that's gone on, but I'll catch up with your posts as soon as I can, kay?
Night everybody. Keep on rockin' in the free world..

No Song.. Too Lazy...
I have started to suck at posting. Oh well..
So. My sister has got this thing about bringing home stray animals. She and her friend found a kitty the other night. Very cute, very affectionate. Sadly we can't keep it. We've already got two catties and then my dog. Even worse, we're ging out of town tomorrow (Thursday) so if we don't get a call from the owner or someone who wants to adopt her, she has to go to the shelter.. *sad face* We put up posters and did flyers and everything, and no one has claimed her yet. Very sad..
And yes, I'll be out of town for the next week or so, so that means no computer time. *sob* I'll survive. My cousin is coming home from Scotland. She went for a work experience program and loved it so much that she decided she wanted to stay. She met her husband there and they got married. Now they're coming back to Canada for a second ceremony since we couldn't all go to Scotland for the wedding. It'll be really nice to see her again! I'm excited for that. And my grandma is throwing one of her famous keggers on Sunday. So it'll be a day of drinking.. So anyways..
If anybody wants a cat.. *sigh* I don't know what to do about it.. Laundry's done. Time for packing. Have a good week, kids. Keep on rockin' in the free world.

No song.. too tired..
Well.. the garage sale thing went pretty well.. We got rid of SO much crap. Umm... including pretty much all my furniture. Well the couch, chair and ottoman, that is.. They were unbelievably ugly and they were older than I am so it's not a big tragedy. I won't really miss them. Now I can get new stuff..
Amidst the piles of stuff we found a stuffed chicken that had a tear right on the inside of the beak. I entertained myself by attacking people with it and claiming that it had the bird flu, since it looked like it was vomiting. Ha ha ha. Simple minds, simple pleasures..
Anyways.. still not enough sleep. I'm doing pathetically at visiting sites.. but I'll try.. G'night all.. Keep on rockin' in the free world..

"So the mess is drawing forces/
Outside I hear them say/
Just come out with your hands up/
So we can blow you away..." -Big Wreck (Blown Wide Open)
Holy crap. What a gong show... I've been busy sorting stuff out for a garage sale on Saturday. It's stressing me out a bit because I don't really have TIME to be organizing a garage sale right now... The internet guy is coming today (Friday) to hook up my computer. I'm pretty happy about that. I think I'm losing my calbe TV though.. XD Since I hooked up my new TV and the surround sound the cable hasn't been working. I ALMOST get A channel. Hahaha.. Oh well..
So. I was at work Thursday night and it was pretty boring and lame since I had to spend six hours with annoying girl. It got better though at around nine when this woman and her son (who was maybe six or seven years old) came through. They had just been to the fairgrounds and were telling me that it was insane down there because some big name band was performing on the free stage. (It was Thornley) So, I said goodnight to them and the little boy put his hand out across the till as if to shake my hand, and instead of shaking it, he kissed it! That was the cutest thing ever! What a little sweetheart. XD
That made my night better. So I cashed on. At around 9:20pm my supervisor came up front with one of the guys who had his hand wrapped in paper towel. Turns out he has slashed his hand with his boxcutter and needs to go have stitches. Supervisor asks if I'll drive him down to Emergency. What am I going to say? "NO! No medical attention for you!" Of course I drove him. He was super calm about it, and he's only 16. I probably panicked more than he did. He keps saying "oh they'll probably just put a bandage on it and it'll be fine.." Umm... no. Stitches for you, boy. *nods* So I stuck around at the hospital with him until his mom got there. I filled her in on what had happened, since he was already in to see the doctor. Then she said I could go. So I did.
On the way out I could actually hear the concert going on. And the hospital is a fair distance from the fairgrounds. They were in the middle of playing "Blown Wide Open", lyrics to which, I have posted today. Big Wreck used to be fronted by Ian Thornley and when they broke up he continued with a solo career as just Thornley. So, yeah.
Pretty weird day. I'm really tired. I haven't had a really good sleep all week long. And I won't get to have one until maybe, Wednesday. I don't know. Have a good weekend kids. Keep on rockin' in the free world.

"And it's hard to say/
Who you are these days/
But you run on anyway/
Don't you baby..." -Tom Petty (Saving Grace)
SO, I dragged my butt out of bed this morning at 7:00am and went downtown because I got suckered into judging parade floats again this year. It's actually a fun job. My friend Paige got the Children and Youth category (because she's good with children and I am not), and I took the Entertainment category. So I got to judge all the bands. The one group was playing Neil Young's "Keep On Rockin' in the Free World" and doing a really good job of it. So that kinda won me over. I like Neil Young. And this reporter from the Herald followed us around when we went to present our awards, so there may be mention of me in the paper tomorrow (Wednesday). Have to wait and see.. = )
After that I came home, and then remembered that I was supposed to have returned the keys for the park gate (where we had our BBQ) YESTERDAY. So, I went BACK downtown and then came home again.
Then I went to work. It wasn't terrible. There were good people on tonight. Well, apart from annoying girl, but she just stays away for the most part, and pretends to work while not actually doing a damn thing. I just don't understand how she is still employed... *shakes head* One of my coworkers donated an old monitor of hers for the tills. Her family is now all about the Macintosh computers now, so this monitor had a big white Mac sticker on it. Knowing my utter hatred for the things, she peeled it iff and stuck it on my locker and printed on it "Mac is where it's at!" Ehh... I think I might just leave it there.. It's pretty funny, really..
Union meeting in the morning. Hopefully it won't be a sheer waste of time. I've got a ton of crap to deal with coming up soon and not a lot of time for it all.. I can cut out sleep, right? I don't need sleep.. ZZZzzzz ZZzzzzzz...

"Witness this endless falter/
As poison drifts through water/
In my cup in my finest hour/
Give in sit down, Why Bother..." -The Trews (Why Bother)
Why bother indeed, gentlemen... Why bother indeed...
Well.. the BBQ on Friday night wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I think I'm through with being the one to plan stuff. I'm not even going to bother booking a Christmas party. In fact I think it has pretty much been decided that the "Social Club" will be disbanded and we'll blow the money in the account on.. something. Maybe redoing the coffee room. It's looking pretty terrible.
Anyways, I usually end up a little disappointed with the way the paarties turn out, but this was the kicker. NONE of the managers showed up, not even new boss. Half the people that signed up tp come didn't show. And one chick who showed up (three hours) late said some things that were really discouraging. She even went so far as to blame the Union for some stuff. The Union has absolutely nothing to do with the Social Club. Just because I'M involved with both doesn't mean they have anything to do with each other. *sigh*
I suppose I'll have to put out a survey of some kind to see what everyone else thinks. And if we do end up ending it, then what should be done with the $$. It's really sad that we don't get the support we need to make these things work...
So I'm going to bed. I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Back to classes soon. I need to go buy textbooks soon... Night night.

"Ignorance spreads lies/
How much will money buy/
Well I'll take my time/
As I drift and die..." -Puddle of Mudd (Drift and Die)
Alright.. I tried to post something yesterday, but it just never made it. I'd get my lyrics, type out a few sentences, then the internet would crap out. So I'd cycle the power to the router and restart. I'd find my lyrics again, and type a little, then the whole thing would just freeze up for no reason. *facepalm* so I'd have to restart. This went on for a little while.. really annoying, so I finally just gave up and went to bed.
I'd had pretty much enough of that BS, so when I got up on Wednesday morning, I asked my dad if he'd come computer shopping with me. So we went out and checked a few places. Staples, London Drugs and Future Shop. We ended up going back to London Drugs because, well... the tech guys there just know what they're talking about. Actually.. now that I think of it, MOST of our computer accessories were purchased there. Haha!
So. I now have myself an HP 1540 media centre with 250GB of hard drive space and a lovely little flatscreen monitor. And no more Windows ME, which I now understand was the source of ALL my problems.. *eye roll* I'll set it up over the weekend and Make an appointment for the cable dude to come and give me MY OWN hook up so I won't have to deal with routers anymore. Yay.
So. That's it from me. In the words of Canada's beloved Nardwuar, keep on rockin' in the free world and do doodle loo doo.. do do. G'night.
