No Cars Go...
I hope everyone had a nice long weekend. The poem and image I posted yesterday were in honor of Remembrance Day here in Canada. The equivalent to the American Veteran's Day. IT According to Wikipedia, McCrae wrote it the day after the death of a friend in 1915. The poppies in the poem grow all over Flanders in Belgium where war casualties are buried. It's now a symbol of Canadian remembrance.. So that's the story behind that.

I'm going to try to do my best to get a couple of my papers for classes finished early so that I don't start to panic when their due dates approach. Step number one is to do the bibliography for my English paper, which will have to do with the influence of scripture on literature. And I guess I could just write the paper while I'm at it. Next comes a paper about Marx' influence on the development of Trades' Unions. And after that, two others that I don't even want to think about right now. But in about five weeks it'll all be over. No more papers. No more midterms or finals. I'll be free. Finally..

Other than that.. stuff has been going on.. I don't want to discuss it in a public journal, but hey, if you want to know about any of my escapades, both funny and traumatic, they're in my LJ. Same name as here. Enjoy the rest of the week.. I hope the Christmas music on the radio and in the stores isn't killing anyone yet.. I'm ready to throw the CD player out the window.. Bleh..
