Everything Is Turning Out, Turning Out...
I just finished watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I must say, I was a little disappointed. I'm not entirely sure why yet, but I was expecting something more from it. I haven't finished reading all the books, but hopefully I will have the chance to do that soon. It just seemed that everything in the movie was very rushed. It seems like there should have been more to the story, because, isn't that one of the longest books in the series? I don't know.. Someone enlighten me?
AND I get to go see The Golden Compass today. I haven't heard too much about it yet.. just a few comments from uptight religious fanatics that think it's going to encourage their children to become interested in daemons and evil stuff.. Which.. most kids are interested in that kind of thing anyways, right? Hopefully I'll have the chance to read those books soon too..
Other than that, I hope everyone is ready for Christmas.. or nearly anyways.. I've decided that I don't want anything this year. I told my family not to buy me stuff. Because it makes me feel like I ought to reciprocate. (and in philosophic terms, 'ought' implies 'can') It's just too much pressure. I'm going to bake a huge batch of black forest cookies today and wrap them up in half-dozens in cellophane tied with pretty ribbon and that'll pretty much be it for me. I'll hand those out and call it done. Just because I'm not spending an extravagant amount of money on people dosen't mean I don't care about them, it just means I don't have extravagant amounts of money. = P Take care everyone.. Six more sleeps..
