Riiiight... I'm 2/3 of the way through writing these evil little mini essays for a final exam. (Yes it's Phil of Ter. again. I'll shut up about it tomorrow, I promise!) My brain seriously hurts! I don't wanna ever think about this stuff again! Here's a mini excerpt from one of them. See if YOU can figure out what I'm talking about 'cause for the love of god, I sure can't!

Shannon French brings up the question of whether it is fair to expect the lesser power in an asymmetrical conflict to fight within the same jus in bello rules as its opponents? Through the example of two fighters in a boxing ring, she concludes that if the lesser power chooses to fight outside the rules (ie: use terrorism) he can not ask his opponent to fight within the rules. She continues to say that even if this is the case, both sides must still respect certain rules, in particular those regarding the targeting of non-combatants.
Viminitz states that if both parties are willing to send out only their ‘champions’ (read: military) to fight, then all non-combatants should be immune to attack. Any violation of this constitutes terrorism.

and blah and so forth... Is that enough BS to get me an A?
