So the good news is that I made it to work on time and was coherent the whole time. The bad news is that the schedule for the week of the Christmas party was up. Guess who is supposed to work that night? *points to self* That's right. This girl. The guy who has been helping me plan also got scheduled for that night. So, with neither of us able to go to the party, there IS no party. Someone has to pay for everything, after all...

The real kick in the ass though is that they are not closing the store early. That means that there are at least five people that wouldn't be able to go, since they'd be working until close. It means nothing to say "oh, we'll run a skeleton crew" because WE ALREADY ARE! Every day. We on;y have a staff of about 40 people, so when five can't come that seriously bashes the numbers since I can only ever manage to get half the staff to come to a function anyways. And now they're all new people, most of which I don't like much. So it's just a fan-freaking-tastic situation. It's really discouraging to have gone to a lot of work to plan something for everyone to enjoy together, and then have it completely backfire.

Anywho.. I think I'm through now.. I shall have... words... with 'new boss' tomorrow. I have calmed down a bit, thanks to Teh Zappa Slave. I was in a bit of a rage for a few minutes.. The "cheer-up" worked. Two more sleeps kids..
