"Oh it looks like the war was in your head/
Not your heart/
Just when you think it's figured out/
Well it all falls apart/
It's like the calm before the storm/
You better swim..." -Our Lady Peace (Angels Losing Sleep)
Well, the day was a bit of alright. I was up pretty late Xmas eve, so of course I slept late. I was still the first one up though. Weird.. We did the usual "wake up put the turkey in, have brunch, open presents, try to hide the fact that we don't like them, pack the food up, take it to my grandma's place and be nice to each other for the night" thing. I actually liked all of my gifts. Oh, but.. my cousin sent me a quilt with butterflies on it. It's yellow. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that. It's pretty, but not "me"...
So. The day was alright. I got home and read about a few things. They bothered me, I admit it (hence the eye-rolling smiley up top) Even though I probably have NO right to be mad about any of them. I'm not going to talk about them here though. Learning about this stuff resulted in a slightly angry LiveJournal post. That's the only place I CAN put it, really...
So, to quote Sita: "Merry Boxing Day!" I plan on avoiding everything going on downtown. I refuse to get into a fight with a little old lady over an X-Box or anything like that ("that's MY x-box, ya bag! *punch*"). The easiest way to avoid it is to stay home... Have a good one all..
