"Pick me up love, from the bottom/
Up onto the top love/
Everyday/
Pay no mind to taunts or advances/
I’m gonna take my chances everyday..." -Dave Matthews Band (Everyday)
Well, the "Christmas" party was alright. We had 25 people signed up to come to the show at the theatre. Only 21 actually made it, so there's a couple of people that I need to go freak out at. Heheh.. just kidding.. But really, if you say you're going to be there, and I buy you a 20 dollar ticket, is it really a good thing to punk out at the last minute? I think it's kinda rude.
But anyways, everyone that came really enjoyed the show, and afterwards we all went over to the Cheesecake Cafe where I had booked the lounge space for us. We ate some food, opened some presents.. Earlier in the afternoon Leona (my co-worker) and I went to Wally-World to buy all the prezzies. Wasn't that crowded actually. and we only spent HALF of what I had budgeted! $300! I couldn't believe it! And we got cool stuff too. I ended up coming back home with a cool picture frame and this wicked pillow that is covered in bright orange poodle-y material. Very much fun...
I estimated that the bill at the Cheesecake would be maybe $200-$300. Guess how much it ACTUALLY was... Yeah, $475!! Holy crap. But I guess I did order two whole cheesecakes for us. At $50 apiece. And numerous fancy, expensive drinks. Mine was called an Ice Cream Sandwich and it was soooooooo delicious. At the end of the night I had to give our server a HUGE tip. Just because when I asked him to do a draw for a 20" TV, he picked the name of a girl that we all just hate and want fired (I do anyways), and when he saw the look on my face, he ate the little piece of paper. Literally. Shoved it in his mouth and chewed. Then picked another name. Hahahaha! So he deserved $80. It was a good night, and I'd do it all again in a minute. Well, a few things differently, but still. It was good. Happy weekend kids!
