"Make up your mind and I'll make up mine/
Don't worry about me, I'll be fine/
Those words that you said to me, why wasn't I listening?/
I wish I hadn't met you at all, I started thinking/
I'll sit back and relax and wait for the morning..." -Theory of a Deadman (Make Up Your Mind)
Ehhh.. had to go to work today and it turns out, it wasn't all that bad. Well.. The fact that I spent pretty much the whole six hours doped up on Ibuprofen really helped things. Heheh.. So I suppose what I'm trying to say is that my back feels a lot better. There's a bit of a bruise, but that's probably just from me poking it, trying to figure out exactly where the pain was.
Anyways, it was the birthday of the girl I was working with today. She only mentionned it an hour before her shift was over. I stuck a sign on the front of her till that said, "It's Ash's birthday! Wish her a good one, DON'T tell her how you know." So for a good fifteen minutes, she had random customers wishing her a happy birthday.. Confusion ensued. Until she came down the aisle to tell me how weird it was that everyone knew it was her birthday. I was like, "wow.. that's really weird..." And then she found the sign.. Ahh well.. it was good for fifteen minutes of entertainment..
Another fifteen
I finally got around to finishing this book. Cat's Cradle, by Kurt Vonnegut. All his books are supposed to be very funny, but I sometimes find myself genuinely sad at the end of some of them. Like that one, and Breakfast of Champions. I don't know why that is. Maybe I'm more cynical than I thought I was, or maybe it's less..
Lame one-liner #50: (because 47, 48 and 49 are just stupid..) The more people I meet, the more I like my dog...
